The social media and platforms intern is a role within the digital team. The role is responsible for working with other editors in the company to curate and commission stories, pictures and video content for our social media and third-party platforms.
Writing and editing copy as well as adapting pictures and multimedia for social media platforms
- Managing and developing the social media and platforms team
- Expertise in creative storytelling: comfortable using a variety of techniques, from GIFs to interactives, polls to live Q&As
- Ability to pull editorial insights from data, understanding various platform-specific metrics to inform decisions
- Champion the use of social media in the newsroom through training
